P3B have been exploring money through hands on activities!
They have been
✅ sorting coins
✅ ordering amounts
✅ adding coins within 20p
✅ giving change within 20p
With each activity we have been reinforcing mathematical language to build confidence in numeracy!
🏠 Why not try at home:
- Give your child a range of coins from 1p-20p and ask them to order them
- Label cupcake liners and have your child sort the coins into the correct place
- ICT games such as topmarks ‘toy shop money game’ and ‘coins game’ are a free and fun way to build confidence working with money
