P3A Explore the Signs of Spring
24th Mar 2026
As part of our work on seasonal change, we took our learning outdoors and enjoyed a spring walk to Polepatrick on Friday. The children explored their local environment, identifying signs of spring such as budding flowers, fresh green leaves and beautiful daffodils in bloom.
Throughout the walk, pupils used their senses to explore the world around them. They looked closely at changes in nature, listened to the sounds of birds and their surroundings, felt different textures, and noticed the fresh scents of spring. This hands-on experience helped to deepen their understanding in an engaging and meaningful way.
It was wonderful to see the children so enthusiastic as they explored and discovered the many signs of spring all around them.
