P2A Create Self Portraits Using Natural Materials

P2A Have been exploring their topic, “Hey, Hey, Look at Me!” by creating fantastic self portraits using natural materials. The children spent time looking closely at their facial features and used leaves, sticks, stones and other natural items to design portraits that reflected how they see themselves.

Through this creative activity, pupils had the opportunity to express their ideas artistically, talk about their designs and engage with the natural environment around them. They developed their confidence, worked with purpose, and enjoyed using outdoor materials in imaginative ways. The final portraits were truly unique and a wonderful celebration of each child’s individuality.
