Building bird nests 🪺

We have been learning all about ‘Things with Wings’. We have explored animals with wings that can and cannot fly, we have been focusing on birds with wings that can fly like owls and so we got creative down at Polepatrick! The boys and girls worked in groups to create their own birds nest using natural materials like twigs, sticks, leaves and moss. The children used their imagination to create their nests and were able to verbalise how they made their nests and how their nest will protect the eggs. We also got to explore all the beautiful signs of spring at Polepatrick like the beautiful daffodils. 🌼
