Today the Digital Leaders set off to the Apple Store in Victoria Square, Belfast! Matthew welcomed us to the store and gave us some facts about the company. Did you know that every Apple store in the world has tables made from the same type of wood (maple) except for the store in Covent Garden in London?
Matthew then allowed us to play with any device we wanted in the whole store! This was a great opportunity to try out some new tech and ask questions about how things worked.
We then moved upstairs to begin a session on an app called 'Pro Create' led by Matthew and his colleague Conor. This was really interesting, we began by taking photos of our friends in different poses. We then drew around the outlines and were shown how to use layers to add details and create characters. We were shown how to use the actual colours of our own skin which was a great feature and really personalised our projects.
After this we headed to McDonalds for a well-earned break! We can't wait to share all the things we have learned with our classmates! 😊
